Blogrolls, Trackbacks, Pingbacks and Links

Just a quick note to let you know that if you have a blog of your own and add me to your blogroll, I’d be happy to link back to yours as well. I love that! It helps drive readers to your site as well as mine and its fun to see all the new faces pop in. Building a readership, I have found, takes some time and I am still learning a lot about this blogging stuff. I gotta tell ya, though–I love it! I love checking back for comments and although there have been some gaps in my writing–it was best I do that for the preservation of my sanity. Even though I NEEDED to be writing, sometimes its best to wait until the dust settles a bit.

I am looking to build a strong network and am slowly getting around to replies. I’ve got tons of pictures to post but am limited to a certain amount each month, I’ve got videos to upload for the boob tube, and I’m working on a new soundcloud feature. I’m usually exhausted at night–seems like my energy levels are no where near where they used to be and so as much as I would love to be on everynight–mostly, sleep sounds great! Just keep checking in and don’t forget to leave a comment or let me know you’ve linked me. I’ll be happy to do the same and check out your blog. If I can follow it through Networked Blogs on Facebook–let me know. Trackbacks are a way to notify legacy blog systems that you’ve linked to them. If you link other WordPress blogs they’ll be notified automatically using pingbacks, no other action necessary. If its a different blog system, you’ll have to check with the dashboard settings and make sure you add my url where they ask you to. I’m just beginning to figure this stuff out, so I understand if you don’t get what I’m talking about–just let me know and maybe we can figure it out together.

Sidenote–I’m having a devil of a time on various blogs trying to upload my gravatar image. So, depending on the read feeder or open ID–I may show up in your comments as Christina, Specifically Speaking, or Kidskornerabc. Trying to figure it out because I lose track all the time and that is so frustrating. So, for now, I’m the faceless image in your google friends if I am lucky enough to get my info transferred in.

I’m also having a terrible time trying to figure out how to link people, places, or things within the content of my posts. It’s driving me nuts. One last gripe–wordpress will only let me post one picture per post–I believe. If anyone out there has figured out a way to do it that I’m not aware of–please help!!

Hey good stuff…keep up the good work! I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say I’m glad I found your blog. Thanks,)

    A definite great read…
