Tweet, Tweet

I have quite a few people that contact me privately and want to follow my blog or don’t have a facebook accout to follow me through Networked Blogs. They have expressed a few things like a way to chat with me while I’m online, setting up a Twitter account and linking it back to my blog, and a few other sugestions that would connect me more. I have toyed with some of those applications. I have spent hours trying to figure out how to get certain gadgets and widgets and html code cut and pasted and I’ve even learned a little about why some things won’t work on my blog (javascript). It all seems so foreign.

I love to play with stuff like that, but I have been in this very surreal world lately and I feel as though I am spending more time researching drug names, side effects, negative interactions, and protocol then I have been able to keep up with the day to day details of my life or what remains of what it used to be like. I decided to spend some down time doing not what I should’ve been doing, but just playing on the computer. I set up some new accounts and will attempt to figure out how to make my blog a little more interactive so if I can’t post long, thought-provoking excerpts, you’ll be able to check in and get little glimpses.

I’ve created a Twitter account if you want to follow me there and please do! Don’t ask me how it works, though. I’m really just a newbie there. I’m not sure I understand it, either. So, for those of you that haven’t friended me on Facebook–yet–you can catch me on Twitter. I also have a MySpace page–but it is completely empty and I haven’t even figured that out–I will someday so if you want to friend me there–be my guest. I have also created my new chat box–Think Pink. I originally thought I’d name it the Think Tank which led to the Think (Pink) Tank, but I wasn’t able to use that many characters in the title. If I come up with something more sassy–or if you do–let me know. I’m looking for a good name for that. In order to put it on, I had to set up a Meebo account. Didn’t take much and it actually is pretty interesting. It actually links all my social networking accounts into one and I can chat with anyone from any of those sites once you log in. I just need to figure it out a little more. The neat thing about the meebo is that I get to have live chats with you privately or in a group depending on which box you choose to type in. I’m toying with the idea of a certain night and certain time where I’ll dedicate to just being on my blog working on it and if you want to chat–I’ll be there. I’m going to start tonight–Thursday, June 5, 2009 at 8pm. Hopefully, I’ll see you there and if not, check back for posts, I’m working on some long ones.

P.S. Since I’ve never meebo’d before, I don’t know how user friendly it’s going to be so I hope someone jumps in and helps me figure this out. I also don’t know if you have to have meebo in order to chat with me or if it shows up on your end like it looks like on mine. I’m super curious about this, so if anyone has a clue–please let me know!
